The highs and lows of Mariah Carey

Keeping track of Mariah Carey’s life and career is practically a full-time job, but for the past 12 months have been especially bizarre. Only recently, the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer had to cancel several Christmas shows due to health problems.

Ahead of her abbreviated stop at the Beacon Theatre on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday , here’s a brief recap of Carey’s crazy year.

January

Carey’s 2017 is off to a terrible start with a disastrous New Year’s Rockin’ Eve performance in Times Square. She puts the blames on a faulty earpiece  not being able to sing along with her hits, and the fallout lasts for weeks.

September

The E! reality series “Mariah’s World” is canceled after just one season. The finale pulls just half a million viewers.

October

Carey’s ex, billionaire businessman James Packer refers to their short relationship and engagement in 2016 as a “mistake.” Ouch.

November
