“The Federal Government will not shut down the university and we will provide you with all the necessary support.”
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, gave this assurance on Friday despite the recent attacks by Boko Haram.

The minister, who was on a condolence visit to UNIMAID, commiserated with the school’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, and other top officials over the brutal killings of some workers of the institution in an ambush.
Adamu said the government is not willing to suspend academic activities in the institution despite the security situation.

About 30 civilians and 18 soldiers reportedly died.
Speaking earlier, the Vice-Chancellor, Njodi, said four workers of the university are still missing following the tragic incident.
